Suicides and the depression

Is only one properly serious philosophical problem - problem of suicide. To a. kamyu (1990. s. 24 - 25)

The World Health Organization separates the problem of suicides to one of the important medico- social problems of contemporary society. In many countries the suicides are located among the first 10 reasons for mortality, and among the adolescents and the youthful population they occupy the third place. Yearly, from its own hand die about half million of people; moreover these data, undoubtedly, are underestimated. Only in the last decade in Russia is noted an increase in the prevalence of suicides before 45-56 cases by 100 thousand populations per year, and in the separate regions and the population groups - to 90 and more, which is combined with the parallel growth of the frequency of depressions and abuse of alcohol. Depression - reason 70% for all perfect suicides. Many authors are agreed in the opinions that the large number of suicides, which we have, is connected with the inadequate treatment of depression. Depressive disorders, in turn, are one of the most frequently meeting psychopathological states. The approximately each tenth inhabitant of planet transfers during his life depression, and in each twentieth it is repeated. Thus, for the preventive maintenance of suicides, is necessary early taking of adequate diagnostic measures for the purpose of timely development and treatment of depressive disorders.
